The story of Richard Tarkovsky. Parsing the plot of The Medium. Part 2

The story of Richard Tarkovsky, in my opinion, is the most interesting part of the plot of the game The Medium. She hooked me. Even though most of it is shown to us in the form of notes and ghostly images.

Richard’s childhood

Dramatic events began to pursue Richard since childhood. Still, because he was “lucky” to spend him during the Second World War. The father of Richard, who had gone to the front, was not destined to return from him, the family remained in a desperate position. To survive at least somehow, the mother of the hero of my story agreed with a certain man who turned out to be a tyrant, mocked, beaten a stepson and once forced the child to defend himself with a knife.

Born right in front of the most terrible war in the history of mankind and have a stepfather-fucker is apparently still few problems. Another misfortune happened to Richard. The boy’s neighbors hid a Jewish family, with a girl from whom the boy made friends very well and, we can say that he fell in love. They often met in the maze in the garden of their house, Richard brought Rose of food and painted it. And so it continued until Richard’s stepfather surrendered neighboring Jews to the Nazis. Rose was killed and this was very deeply injured by Richard. So deep that it created a demon in his spiritual world.

Acquaintance with Thomas Rekovich.

Having survived all these https://larabet.uk/ tragic events, Richard Tarkovsky continued to draw, became an artist and got a job at the university. In his craft, he achieved good success, but began to lose inspiration and his paintings were given to him harder. While one day, he did not meet a man named Thomas Rekovich.

Thomas also managed to suffer from the Nazis. When he was only three years old, they killed his parents and took him himself for the experiments that brought him to a clinical death. Having survived it, Thomas’s soul and body were divided and began to live on their own. Part of Thomas, living in reality, could talk with the otherworldly version of herself, as if with another person.

I return to Richard. Having made friends with Thomas, Tarkovsky learned about these abilities and listened with great interest to Thomas’s stories about the other world, which returned inspiration to the artist. Thomas and Richard became good friends, not only friends – they found in each other a son and a father, without whom both grew up.

Moving to the hotel “Niva”

Years passed. Tarkovski was kicked out of the university and he came to his old friend – Thomas Redovich, who was already a long manager, in the Niva Hotel, which he himself designed. Thomas suggested Richard to teach art for the children here, to which he happily agreed.

Working at the hotel, Richard made friends with a nurse named Ursula. Over time, their friendship began to stop into something more – Ursula fell in love with Richard. But the injury, obtained in childhood, did not leave the artist to this day and he broke the heart of Ursula. Richard did not let go of fear of losing a person expensive for him again. In order not to be able to lose anyone, he preferred not to get closer to anyone.

In the art lessons, one of Richard’s students was the daughter of Thomas – Lilly. She began to spend a lot of time with the teacher and began to remind him of Rose (a girl from childhood of Richard, who died at the hands of the Nazis). This was awakened by the internal demon Richard, the “eater of children”, and Richard raped Lilly (it is not directly said that it was raped, but some terrible act of a sexual nature is implied). How Richard himself later justified – this demon prevailed over him and he did not control himself. But the fury of his father was not to stop and Thomas asked his spirit to invade the spiritual world of Tarkovka, from where the otherworldly Thomas expelled his soul and left the poor fellow of Richard to live in the form of a motionless vegetable in a wheelchair.

The death of Richard.

Richard had no relatives and only the nurse Ursula agreed to care for him, despite how he did her. She did this until the events that I talked about in the last article did not occur until the “mouth” broke out. This fiery first thing wanted to take revenge on Richard and took control of Ursula’s mind to kill Tarkovsky with her hands.

Even after the death of the soul and body of Richard, in the other world of the Niva hotel, his demon continued to live. Who, however, did not like what he did and he just wanted to rest, with which the main character of this game helped him. Having finished the tragic story of this character.
