Now, after the announcement of several new parts, which seemed to have declined a series, one could say that the interest of fans in the Games about the city of eternal fog was revived and the interest of fans. However, this statement is not entirely true, because he (interest), did not disappear anywhere. And after a few rather radical-frozen experiments, and after frank failures, and after a farewell anniversary party, which was attended by all the characters, and even after Konami, giving fans a small sprout of hope, immediately trampled him into the dusty land. But not only the hope of a single fan of Silent Hill was alive. Many decided not to wait for mercy from Konami, but take the initiative in their own hands. So, let’s move on to the mods themselves. Although, at first several reservations should still be done.
Firstly, I usually try to study the mod as much as possible, if I talk about it, but today it will not happen, for many reasons. Acquaintance with the original games themselves, far from all of which I know well, would take a lot of time, besides, this is not a complete analysis, but only a brief review excursion.
Secondly, not all mods based on Silent Hill will be included in today’s selection, but some of the presented ones, on the contrary, may not be directly related to games about the foggy city. It’s over I don’t see the point of adding to a selection, simple chiz skinchiks for a particular game, or something that changes/adds monsters from the silent Hill, wherever you. So, I propose to start with something well-known, namely with Alchemell fashion for Half Life 2. In general, judging by the reviews, the project turned out, let’s say, ambiguous, but let’s start with the good.

Almost everyone who is personally familiar with this mod unanimously converge in the opinion that this is exactly what the developers really managed.

Take, for example, the plot. Yes, if you look as a whole, then it is pretty good, in the spirit of the old parts, the influence is especially felt … but, by the way, this will already be a spoiler. But the problem is not in the history itself, but in its presentation, the whole narrative is some kind of fragmentary, torn. And no, the point is not in case of incapacity, but the fact that there are quite large segments of the game, the code generally forget about the plot, leaving the player one on one with gameplay. And, judging by the reviews, this campaign did not stop by everyone.
By the way, about gameplay. Riddles have become quite good in fashion, at times, of course, capable of blowing, but in general, this could also be attributed to the pluses.
Well, fights … But the battles were not brought to the mod. Yes, exactly, there are no monsters as such. So, again, many noted that despite the atmosphere, it is not possible to fully maintain a sense of anxiety, because at some point you understand that nothing threatens the character at all. And now someone, of course, is able to penetrate the Silenthillic melancholy horror only at the expense of the environment, but, as we see, not all of this can be enough.

But what if I say that there is a mod that uses all these approaches at once, that is, at the same time? How can this be? Well, let’s see.

In general, the main thing is to say about Whispering Hills is that the mod was clearly created by Fantami Silent Hill and for fans Silent Hill.
